A chemical can be applied to Pinewood to strengthen its resistance to rot. Working with Pinewood is relatively simple, and it finishes well both by hand carving and by machine. This wood is excellent for packaging boxes and glues very well. As pinewood has a soft surface, it readily takes nails and screws.
