SPF Wood

Three different species are marketed as SPF. A variety of building applications use such wood as structural framing material. Wood of this species is distinctly white and does not vary very much from springwood. The wood has a broad color range of white to pale yellow, and it has a fine straight grain and a smooth finish. Due to its superior gluing properties and dimensional stability, SPF is a popular prefabrication material. Flat-pack modular furniture is frequently manufactured from this wood. SPF is a strong and light material that can be used for modular and prefabricated housing, outdoor furniture, exterior decking, etc.
